VREMURI NOI
P. Kropotkin
I. – Organizând o serie de conferinţe
o schiţă generală a anarhiei. Ceea ce şi
voiesc.
pur
teoretică,
idealul
acesta cuprinde tendinţa înnăscută a

Într-o vreme,
globului nostru. Omul fiind fiinţa cea mai
superioară de pe pământ, întregul univers
pentru el fiinţa, pentru el Soarele, Luna,
stelele descriau orbitele lor în jurul
lăcaşului său, Pământul. Totul fusese creat
pentru dânsul. Şi închipuitul creator al
universului îşi avea ochii îndreptaţi asupra-i,
pentru al apăra de elementul tulburător,
duhul rău, diavolul. Această ştiinţă şi
această
filosofie
au
predominat,
atotstăpânitoare, în vremurile cele mai
întunecate
ale
subjugării
omului.
Puternicele teocraţii ale Orientului fură
expresia acestora.
asupra
concepţiilor
sale
cosmogonice, privitoare la univers.
Un fapt asemănător are loc astăzi.
Intrăm într-o epocă ce va vedea
petrecându-se o schimbare tot atât de
însemnată în cuprinsul ştiinţei şi în
totalitatea concepţiilor filosofice. O filosofie

inima,
sufletul,
regele,
cârmuitorul
sistemului.
moleculelor, a infinitelor mici.

universului, cosmogonia.
Ceea ce vedem petrecându-se în
studiul universului, se repetă în toate
ramurile ştiinţei, cuprinzându-se între
acestea şi aceea care priveşte raporturile
dintre oameni.
Anarhia nu-i decât o parte, cea mai
concluzii
atât
de
necomplete
şi
atât
de
contradictorii, pe care nu i le
putem primi.
Cugetarea
anarhistă
nu-i decât una din ramurile
cugetării filosofiei generale,
care făgăduieşte să devină
cugetarea filosofică a lumii
civilizate.
II. – O schimbare
asemănătoare se produce în
ştiinţele care tratează despre
fiinţele însufleţite. Acolo unde
odinioară se vorbea de
crearea sau de apariţia
speciilor, astăzi se studiază
variaţiile ce se produc în individ sub
înrâurirea mediului, se studiază adaptările
organelor sale la nişte condiţii ce variază
zilnic. Însuşi individul e tratat ca o fiinţă
complexă, ca o colonie de infinite părticele
asociate laolaltă, păstrându-şi însă viaţa lor
proprie. Feluritele organe ale plantei, ale
animalului sau ale omului sunt privite ca
nişte aglomerări de celule sau, mai curând,
de organisme, trăindu-şi cu toate astea
individualităţile lor, pentru a alcătui individul.
Omul? Va spune, astăzi fiziologul, nu-i
nicidecum o fiinţă unică, e o colonie de
microorganisme, de celule, grupate în
organe.

fiecare îşi are viaţa proprie, fiecare îşi are
centrele sale nervoase, organele sale.
Tolstoi.
Cât se atinge de
economia politică e cu
desăvârşire
la
fel.
Întemeietorul
acestei
ştiinţe, Adam Smith, îşi
intitulează
opera-i
magistrală:
Bogăţia
naţiunilor.
Producţia
naţiunilor, importurile şi exporturile lor,
schimburile, iată ceea ce preocupă pe
economist. Azi, însă, economia politică nu
se mai mulţumeşte de a studia bogăţia
naţiunilor. Ea vrea să ştie dacă individul,
dacă fiecare individ îşi are trebuinţele
satisfăcute. Ea nu mai vrea să măsoare
bogăţia unei naţii prin suma schimburilor ce
are, ea o măsoară prin numărul indivizilor
mâncat, dacă fiecare copil îşi are pătuţul lui,

fiecărei naţiuni, ce marcă are Statul. Voim

toate mizeriile.
